Your information, handled with care

Schulgren Developments (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through schulgrendevelopments.com and in the course of our business, why we collect it, and how we protect it, in line with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What we collect

• When you request a quote: your name, phone number, email address, project location, and the project details you choose to share (building type, size, heating, timeline and notes).
• When you call, email or work with us: the information you give us, plus the records needed to quote, contract, build and invoice your project.
• When you visit the website: like most websites, our hosting provider processes your IP address and basic browser information to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Our quote form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that submissions come from a person. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.

How we use it

• To respond to your request, prepare quotes, and plan and build your project.
• To keep the business records (contracts, invoices and warranty records) we’re required to keep.
• We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t use it for unrelated marketing.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that help us run the business, and only what they need to do their job:

• Cloudflare: website hosting, security and spam protection.
• Resend: delivers quote-form messages to our inbox.
• Google Workspace: our business email.
• Trades and suppliers working on your project, when they need details (such as the site address) to do the work.

Some of these service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country. You can ask our privacy contact (below) for more information about how our service providers handle personal information.

The website also loads fonts from Google Fonts and background photos from Unsplash, and shows the current Edmonton temperature using Open-Meteo. Like any website resource, these services receive your IP address when your browser loads them; we don’t send them anything you type into our form.

Cookies

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site and the quote form.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests only as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and project records for as long as they’re needed for warranty, tax and legal purposes. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.

How we protect it

Your information is stored in password-protected business accounts, and only the people who need it to serve you can see it. Information sent through the quote form is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to how we use it (subject to legal or contractual limits, such as records we must keep). Contact our privacy contact below. We’ll respond within the time PIPA requires, normally within 45 days.
